Hi everyone. This is the first blog of the year. Blessings to all. Since Christmas in Puerto Rico finishes up not on the 25th of December, rather the 6th of January (even then not officially), the celebrations at the church continued on with one last event January 4th. We enjoyed a special concert by a troubadour singing Christmas music he had composed. He even composed Christmas music "on the fly", singing about different church members including Mary and me. As pictured, his son played the "cuatro" and completely dominated the instrument. It was quite a treat. That same day the Three Kings showed up with gifts for all the kids and candy for everyone present. Cake and punch were served on the lawn. Mary counted 112 for the day.

Before the concert began, our pantomime ministry, shown to the left, presented their first special of the year. As in times past, they did a beautiful job. We love what they can proclaim without saying a word.

With Christmas behind us, we took a week off and headed to Disney World with our son Andy and his family. We couldn't pass up the opportunity to see our granddaughter dance with Mickey. It was a great vacation.

Since returning, we have been trying to get all of the sixteen ministries moving in the right direction. A new one, Community Outreach, is scheduled to get to work this Saturday in a project sponsored by several churches in the community to reach out to the homeless, addicts, and poor. We believe it will be a great opportunity to love in deed and not just in word.

I guess that's it for now. God bless you all.
