Good afternoon. Blog day. Let's get started. The church's 37th anniversary we mentioned last time has come and gone. It was a good event. Attendance was good. The service was enthusiastic and the guest preacher did a fine job with the assigned text. After the service we had a church dinner in the basement; the first such indoor event since COVID started three years ago. We are pretty much beyond COVID... FINALLY. I noticed that just a few wear masks to the Sunday service. A few have some immune deficiency issues so they have to be careful.

Other church events since last time was an outing last Saturday, the first of the year for the congregation. We travelled to Old San Juan and took in the sites there. It is a beautiful town, established 504 years ago; one of the oldest in the Americas founded by the Spaniards. We didn't have the attendance we normally have. There were last minute cancellations with numerous  members dealing with scheduling conflicts. Nevertheless, we had several guests go on the trip. That is one of the purposes of the excursions, to make contact with people not part of our congregation. So, it was "all good".

Attendance has been back in the seventies the past few weeks. That is encouraging! We hope and pray to climb back to where we were before the drudgery of two hurricanes, an earthquake and three years of COVID. We pray daily about that goal of growth. We would love for you to pray with us.

Starting last week the drama/music ministry began prepping for Good Friday. It is the "big day" in PR as well as in much of Latin America, much more so than Easter Sunday. One of our worship leaders has written a drama for that night. We also have four worship leaders that write songs. The band is skilled and quickly puts the words to music...by ear. I firmly believe that our musicians are the results of constant pray, asking God to provide musicians. Our church is a blessed congregation! In the fifty+ years we have lived in PR, none of the Christian Churches have had such a generous blessing. I am humbled and thank Him constantly.

On a personal note, Mary has been sick for a couple of weeks. Some virus that seems to last forever (two-three weeks) has had its way with her and a few in our church. So far I have evaded it! She is on the mend however.

Closing out, we are in the dry time of the year. Rarely does it rain. Days in the low eighties and nights in the upper sixties. PR this time of the year is a lovely place. From a natural perspective, it is a paradise. The crowning touch of spring are the orchids; blooming wherever they are cultivated...even mine!

Well, enough this time. Thanks for visiting the page. We appreciate your interest in us and what we do for the LORD. May He be happy with our efforts, and your too for that matter! BLESSINGS!

I have added several photos below.
