What a week. Each day was filled with events up into the evening hours. Last week (Oct. 28) our annual "Splash Day" after church had to be cancelled because of massive rains from the tropical storm/hurricane that was in the headlines last week. Some places on our island got over seventeen inches. Our corner of the island did not get hammered as did the south side but still, it rained all week long. So...we postponed the event until yesterday, Nov. 4. The day was sunny, perfect for such an event. Many stayed until the very end of the activity.

Mid-week as I did my "rounds" I visited with a gentleman who had been attending our church for two years. As the Lord prompted, the course of the conversation led to discuss his relationship with the Christ. After nearly two hours and still no commitment ...I left frustrated. Half way home my cell phone rang. "I wanted to get baptized today. I'll see you at the church building in about half an hour" were his words. I pulled the car off to the edge of the road and gave thanks to the Lord for that sweet moment. All told, three people gave their lives to the Lord last week.

The new digital projector is mounted and working to perfection. It was used Sunday by the adult Sunday School teacher as well as your's truly for the morning message.

Saturday all of the island churches meet to discuss camp property. After the meeting in San Juan, I brought an unexpected house guest back to Aguadilla for the weekend. Eldon Shaw, a missionary to Antigua, was in transition back to Antigua and needed a place to stay for a couple of days. It was good to get to know him.

Well, other things could be shared but space is used up. The best to you this week.
