The service was varied today. Typical of this time of year, I preached a Christmas message. Preceding the message one of the church members sang a couple of Christmas carols he wrote. After the service we shared a cake in honor of one of our church families that is returning to the States. They worshiped with us for five years. Their departure will be felt. It seems this year has been the year of moves. Fifteen have moved to the States.
Yesterday, one of the couples that has been attending the church since May was married. I had the privilege of performing the service.
Saturday we hope to have 15-20 men of the church show up at 8:00 AM to paint the exterior of the church. The ladies will provide breakfast as well as lunch. I love it when our people pitch in and help out in projects such as this.
Mary is done with work until mid-January. She has Christmas shopping on her mind as well as celebrating our anniversary. December 12th we mark 33 years together. What a great marriage we have had. May the Lord give us many more years together.
Take care. Have a great week.
