These last three weeks have been a time of service for our congregation. We began Forty Days of Random Acts of Kindness, the second year to do so. We are shooting for several hundred recorded acts of kindness done by our church members. This year we will be decorating the church's Christmas tree with the reports of acts of kindness done by our church over a forty day period.

Also, last Saturday, the Benevolence Ministry of the church along with a ministry called "Hands Lifted Up" traveled to a local hospital to take gifts of personal items and a Bible to every child in the pediatrics floor. I was told twenty-seven children received gifts and an encouraging word/prayer from the team.
In December, once again as in past years, the youth of our church will travel to San Juan to the Children's Cancer Hospital to give them a wide variety of gifts including over eighty sock hats knitted by the women of the church.
Other benevolent projects include $ 1,000.00 the church gave last month to people in need in the area; some being church members and others not. Our church does a lot of this type of work. Foreign mission projects are limited because the need is so great here. Everywhere we look there are needs.

Next Sunday is our Thanksgiving celebration. There will be a dinner after church with all of the trimmings. I am sure it will be a great occasion. More on that and other matters the next time I write.
God bless you.
