What a great summer: A visit from a youth missions team from Knoxville, a combined church's mission trip to the Dominican Republic with a team from Shelbyville, KY, and our vacation to the USA. (I've noticed everyone in the States wants to come here and we want to go there!)

As in most churches everywhere, our church's Sunday attendance has been up and down this summer, from the mid-fifties to around one-hundred. It used to alarm me but I realize it is a cyclical thing. Now that summer vacations and travels are over the attendance will be smoothing out...if it doesn't then I will start to bite my nails :-)

For those who follow our inner family matters, our granddaughter turned one in June. These! past two weeks she has begun to walk...WHEE, what fun! CRASH goes the glassware, while the flower pots are depleted of their potting material daily! Grandparenting is SWEET.

In Christ,

Johnathan
