September 30, 2007

This past week was a week of preparation. We paid many visits to friends and church members reminding and inviting them to the Trio concert. Friday, Santos (a deacon in the church) and I spent a good portion of the day going door to door putting invitations in the gates of the neighborhood homes inviting everyone to the event. As for Mary, she was organizing the social aspects of the Trio concert; food, refreshments and decorations for the basement to receive our guests in the best way possible all the while she struggled with the flu.

As for the rest of the week, Monday night saw me at the computer preparing a PowerPoint presentation for Wednesday night. We are trying to put to good use the new digital projector as I work through the book of 1st Timothy. Wednesday afternoon and Thursday night I worked on Sunday's message. We are covering the letters to the seven churches in Revelation.

Also the final details here and the USA had to be worked out for a short furlough starting October 2nd. I will be in the States until October 17. I really appreciate the churches in IL allowing me to stop by at such a short notice. I will speak to five congregations.

Well a lot more could be written but then this is a QUICK UPDATE. Until next time. God bless you.

Johnathan and Mary
