Today was Grandparents Day and we celebrated the event with a special program presented during the worship service. I was somewhat apprehensive as to the turn-out since it began to rain hard just before the service began. Rain here is like snow in the States. It generally affects the attendance. Nevertheless, we had a good crowd just short of one-hundred. A great program was presented by the children and gifts were given to every grandparent. After the service, cake and sandwiches were served to everyone.
Later on at 3:00 PM Mary and I returned to the church building to baptize a young woman. Her husband was baptized at the age of twelve but she had never made that commitment. What a

great way to end the day. Seven have been baptized so far this year.
Today was the first time for me to preach in seven weeks due to special programs and my heart issue. It was wonderful to stand before the people once again and share a thought or two from the Word with the grandparents.
Until next time, God bless you.
Johnathan and Mary
