May 1

Good morning. I just wanted to send a quickie note with a short update. We hope all is well with you.

We thoroughly enjoyed a recent four day visit from Bill and Anita Archer. These dear people have been friends clear back from college days.  Bill has been our forwarding agent for many years (I have lost count), donating hundreds of hours throughout the years to keep the books and issue receipts for our mission. He has done a great job and we want to say thanks to him and to Anita for giving him her support to help us out. Hats off to both of them.

The church's missions ministry continues to work hard to get everything ready for an upcoming missions trip in June. We will be linking up with a team of five from the Farragut Christian Church in Knoxville, TN to travel to the Dominican Republic for a week of church/mission work.

Last Sunday's attendance was a delight. Nearly every chair was filled with an attendance of one-hundred and thirteen. These next two Sundays we also expect fine attendances. This coming Sunday we have a guest singer/speaker and his band coming in. The following Sunday is Mothers’ Day.

I will close here. Next time we will report on the two events. Blessings...
