Easter has come and gone. In Puerto Rico the most important day in the Christian calendar is Good

Friday, followed by Easter Sunday. Not so in protestant USA but then again Puerto Rico's Christian heritage is Catholic which seems to especially emphasize the death of Christ.

Most churches, ours included, celebrate both occasions. Friday night the building was pretty much full with over one-hundred present to listen to one of our church members, dressed as a Jewish high priest, teach about the seeming Old Testament paradoxes concerning the Messiah. I followed with a brief message teaching that Jesus, the Messiah, was not only a prophet but also our high priest and king, both divine and human.

At 6:15 AM Easter Sunday, a group of seventeen brothers and sisters met for a sunrise service. The service was followed with a nice breakfast. Then at 11:00 AM our choir presented three specials and I preached about the resurrection, OF COURSE. Mary counted ninety-two in attendance. The children were scheduled for an Easter egg hunt after church but had to settle for an activity in the basement due to inclement weather.
Mary and I hope you had a great Easter.
Johnathan and Mary
