March 12

Hi. Its nice to get a moment to write again. Thanks for reading our blog. I think the computer problems are finally conquered. I can add photos once again, and who doesn't like photos!

The church is doing well in spite of occasional glitches and bumps that all churches seem to have. We have had some very nice attendances of over one-hundred since our last blog, the best being February 26, the church's anniversary. The building was filled to capacity with one-hundred and twenty-six in attendance. It was a great service. The special music was a blessing and the message from our guest speaker was outstanding.

I had the priviledge to baptize a young man, the first baptism of the year. Unlike some, his baptism was a private matter, performed Sunday morning the same day as the afternoon anniversary celebration.

Last Friday we had a night of music and testimony. A contemporary trio did a masterful job singing and playing and they were followed by a gentleman who was rescued from a homosexual/transvestite lifestyle. He gave an amazing testimony of the transforming power of the Holy Spirit. The testimony was only matched by his marvelous voice. Only a few left early even though the service extended till 11:15 P.M.!

Last week we were visited by my sister and her husband, John and Nancy Montgomery, as well as my Aunt Barbara. The whole week was spend reminising and laughing.  What a wonderful, wonderful visit it was and I couldn't help but share our joy with you, our friends.

This weekend I am off to a men’s retreat. I am hoping several men from the church attend as in former occasions.

Later on this month is our annual kite festival at the church. I'll show the photos at our next posting in a couple of weeks.

Until next time. Thanks for your interest in our work in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico.

Fondly,

Johnathan and Mary Reece

Good to hear from you again, and glad to hear things are going so well in Puerto Rico Mission. I'm sure the visit with family was good for the soul. Things here at Friendship are going good as well. Woodlawn won a state championship in basketball. The Tornado in Harrisburg proved very costly. Hope God continues to bless the ministry there and here as well. a friend in Christ Ron H

I am reading an article in USA Today about all the educated people who are leaving the island for the mainland.
