February 18

Hi everybody. We hope your day is going well and that your faith carries you through the day with joy regardless of the circumstances.

Like in the States, things are quite slow on the island as we celebrate Presidents Day, so it is a perfect opportunity to write the latest blog.

Six of our ladies returned Sunday night from the annual womens' retreat. Mary said the final attendance tally was thirty-one...a good crowd for this event. I was told the women from our church had a ball. For two of them it was a first time experience. Mary and Tania (our daughter-in-law) had an active part in the retreat. Tania even had the opportunity to speak on the radio and testify of her faith.

Things are underway for Children's Day, which is marked for next Sunday. Kids have been practicing the entire month to make the day special. It is a service run by and for the children of the church. We think it will be a wonderful event even as it has been in the past.

Our church continues to hone the worship service. The musicians are trying hard to improve the quality of the music with additional practices and the worship leaders are following suit bringing in new songs and adding harmony.

We will report again in two weeks. Until then, may the Lord bless you.

Johnathan and Mary
