Hi everyone. As promised in the last blog, I am writing to report on the
anniversary. It was a GREAT DAY. The building was filled with just two or three
vacant chairs available. Mary said we had one-hundred and eighteen in
attendance. That maxes the seating.

The worship team was dynamic and the song selection very conducive to a
worship experience. Our church is slowly moving over to more contemporary music.
It seems to be well received by the congregation. Of course there was special
music which was first rate, a soloist and a gentleman playing the Hawaiian
guitar, a first in our forty-two years on the island. Our guest speaker was from the Dominican
Republic. He has a ministry that focuses particularly on the children in his
town. He has over one-thousand children in his congregation! As he began to
minister to our children he soon had the entire congregation listening
carefully to his teaching. He was gifted indeed and used by the Lord to bless
the day!
After the service our church members pitched in to provide a great supper
for everyone and then cleaned up after everyone had left.
By the end of the evening Mary and I flopped in bed but very content with
the day. Mary’s comment as we turned out the light was, “It seems like we fed
three-hundred
J.”
As I consider the church, I realize it is a fine congregation. We are
blessed.
