Father's Day at the church: Johnathan and son Andy
Hello once again. Mary and I wish you God's blessings.  A few notable things have happened since our last blog; first being Father's Day. It was a fine Sunday. We had 147 in attendance. Since our building seats 125, we had to put up a few extra chairs. Although we had a nice group of locals, we also had a missions team working with Chad and Chandi Mayes present to augment the attendance. In addition to a special program and gifts for the fathers, we all shared a dinner together.

Our benevolence ministry carried out its second project of the year by visiting an old folks home in a neighboring town. These residents have been abandoned by their families and so the city, as well as many churches, take care of them. The team took between $150.00 - $175.00 worth of personal items as gifts for the residents.

Yesterday, with the help of some visitors, our attendance was around 125...another full house. The best part of the day was two baptisms at the close of the service.

Afterwards, we threw a wedding shower for one of the couples to be married next month.

Our son Ben is here for a week or so. His wife will be coming in later on this week, delayed a few days due to work constraints. It has been two and a half years since their last visit.

That catches you up with our life and work. Blessings on your day.
