November 11, 2007

Each year about this time we present to the congregation all the ministry opportunities through our church. And, we also teach everyone should be involved some way in the church. This is based on the theology of the "Priesthood Of All Believers" found in I Peter 2:5, 9 as well as Ephesians 4:11,12. After a preparatory sermon last week, we spent this week getting ready for the Ministries Fair, a time in which everyone is asked to sign on the dotted line and work as a team in 2008. This year there are twenty-five ways to become involved. May the Lord add His blessing to this noble venture.

The choir is practicing twice a week to get ready for Christmas. This year nine people signed up and are giving two of their evenings to practice. Only three of us read music so it is an uphill battle. We will prevail :-)

Mary was at an ESL convention San Juan for three days. This year she was one of the workshop presenters. In spite of teaching full time at the University of Puerto Rico Mary has a vital ministry in the church and does so much. She is quite a gal and this ministry would not be what it is today if it wasn't for her efforts and good spirit.

Until next week.
