Yesterday was the Christmas celebration for our congregation. Our seasonal choir of nine voices practiced from early October to present a concert for the entire congregation. Considering none of us are blessed with great voices, it turned out very well. To augment the music, two of our young women did interpretative dances for a couple of the selections. The church building was full and nearing capacity.
After church the congregation piled downstairs for a Christmas dinner of roasted pork, rice and pigeon peas, potato salad and, of course, dessert. None left hungry!
Yesterday, instead of a short nap, I did a hospital call. One of our church families has a daughter with a stomach virus and is spending a couple of days in the hospital as a precautionary measure. She seems to b
e on the mend. However, her dad said he felt "funny". I guess Christmas will not be too happy for him.
Today all types of great smells are coming from Mary's kitchen; cookies, pies, and all types of delectable goodies are cooling on the racks. Life is sweet. I hope your kitchen smells good too.
Once again, Merry Christmas.
Johnathan and Mary
