Hello from the Caribbean. Last week was a week of torrential rains all across Puerto Rico and this week the summer heat has everyone commenting on a tough summer ahead of us.

yesterday, for Mothers' Day, the attendance was very good. We had a tally of one-hundred and ten. The building was filled to 90% capacity. The service saw a special program including three men speaking about their moms/wives. Tears flowed in abundance. Gifts were given to all the mothers and after a slide show of the moms, a special recognition was conferred upon two outstanding women in our congregation. Afterwards, everyone enjoyed a catered meal, a gift from one of the church members.
This week the basketball team from Asbury University is visiting with us. I have three work projects lined up for them to complete. At night they are playing ball with several of the teams in the area. They are a fine group of young men who have already given a good impression to those in the areas where they are working.
Hope your week is going well. Blessings to each of you.
Johnathan and Mary
