"The Last Supper"
Hi once again from Puerto Rico. I had been holding off until after Easter week to write this report. This year, the church for Good Friday (Latin America's equivalent to Easter Sunday morning) prepared a drama entitled "The Last Supper". We presented it once before ten to twelve years ago. Many were involved in the project. Before the first practice was called, seven church members translated the drama from English to Spanish. To help create the scene, one of our church members painted the backdrop of the upper room. Added to the drama was special music sung by our best singers. And of course, thirteen of our men participated as the apostles and Christ. The result was wonderful. One man commented, I haven't cried that much in a long time.
Over-flow Crowd

I knew we would have a good crowd but it surpassed my expectations. Although we could not come up with an exact count we think a fair estimate put the attendance between one-hundred and sixty and one-hundred and seventy. That is the second largest crowd in the history of the church.

That same evening, our Pantomime ministry of nine people performed a skit retelling some of the events in the life of Christ. They did a great job. I could not have been prouder of their efforts.

Pantomime Ministry
Sunday morning started with a 6:45 A.M. service on the steps of the church building. Twenty-five made it to the early morning celebration of His resurrection. Afterwards, we shared breakfast; always a pleasant event. At 11:00 A.M. we had our usual service with new songs, a special from one of our church members, and a sermon on (guess what...) the resurrection. The recorded attendance for church was one-hundred and eleven people and two-hundred Easter eggs for the kids to find. It was a good day!

After church, Mary and I traveled to the east side of the island to perform a wedding for the daughter of a couple I married thirty-two years ago. Like the couple I married so long ago, the daughter and her groom are also believers. I was delighted to participate in the celebration.

I guess that catches the highlights.  Until next time, God bless you.
