Good afternoon. Just a couple of items to share this time. Since our last blog a couple of Sundays have come and gone. God has blessed us with some powerful services where lives were touched.

Painting a kitchen for a family in need |
Recently one of our church families had the misfortune of having part of their house burn. Rarely do houses completely burn since the construction is done with cinder blocks and cement. Nevertheless, contents and walls do suffer smoke damage, This couple, in their seventies, could hardly cope with the aftermath. A team of basketball players from Asbury University (invited to PR by Chad Mayes), and our church (who bought most of the paint for two projects) came to the rescue. We divided the team into two groups. One group traveled to a neighboring town to paint a church building in need of a face lift, and the other part of the team painted the interior of this family's house. They left it smelling and looking like new. The family commented, "This is a miracle". And yes, that is true. God sends us small miracles all the time if we have the eyes to see His handiwork.

2015 graduates recognition |
Then, this past Sunday was Graduation Sunday. It is an annual event in our church when we recognize our graduates from kinder, first, sixth, ninth, twelfth and college; the key years in our culture. Each graduate (seven in all) received a small gift and the whole church shared a celebration cake. Attendance was down due to the long holiday weekend.
Mary and I will be coming to the States June 14 and will be there through July 7. Lord willing, we will be visiting churches in Ft Smith, and Mena, AR as well as Norman, OK. God bless.
Johnathan and Mary
